Multiplayer, Voice, and Crossplay

Co-op is real. A random-queue button is not something the official FAQ describes. Invite friends through Steam.

I treated a Steam discussion that called the beta “single player unless you have Steam friends” as a player report, not as a Mob promise.

What official text supports

The store lists online co-op. The FAQ describes proximity chat and says there is no in-game text chat. Fandom trivia says player voices are processed to sound like Smiling Critters. That trivia is not on the store page.

Crossplay with consoles is not available because there is no console version. A beta player post said there was no matchmaking lobby. Do not assume Early Access added a public queue unless a newer patch note says so.

Can I queue with strangers?

No official matchmaking feature is documented. Plan on Steam friends.

Does voice chat work in solo?

Proximity chat matters when other players are present. Solo does not need it.
