Escape from Playtime: A Smiling Critters Adventure
Escape from Playtime is a paid Windows co-op extraction game from Mob Entertainment, set in the Poppy Playtime universe after the Hour of Joy. Steam Early Access opened on October 21, 2026. This site is an unofficial fan guide and does not host the game.
I checked the Steam store page for app 2087540, the October 21 launch announcement, and the official FAQ on October 23, 2026. The notes below only use what those pages still show, including where they disagree.
Facts checked on October 23, 2026
Steam lists the game at $9.99, discounted to $8.99, with the line “Offer ends November 4.” The store summary says 2–8 players. The October 21 launch post calls it a 1–8 player co-op game. The older FAQ still says 1–4. The live store page is the checkout you see today. The player-count page keeps the timeline.
There is no browser build and no official embeddable demo. The October 1 open beta used a separate Steam playtest app that now redirects to the paid game. The only official way to play is the Windows Steam client.
