Escape from Playtime Characters

You play as mini Smiling Critters, not the giant toys from the main series. The launch post says four are available at the start and four unlock with progress.

I used the October 21 launch post for the roster split and the Smiling Critters wiki cards for the scent labels. Scent lines are community transcriptions of Mob’s cards.

The eight

DogDay (vanilla, the leader), Bubba Bubbaphant (lemongrass), Hoppy Hopscotch (peppermint), KickinChicken (ylang-ylang), CraftyCorn (jasmine), PickyPiggy (citrus), Bobby BearHug (rose), and CatNap (lavender). Fandom notes CatNap was recalled after 1989 in the toy line.

The launch post also names a still-unnamed small experiment and a still-unnamed Bigger Body at launch, plus a later Candy Cat update. Those are not extra playable Critters.

Who can I play first?

The launch post names CatNap, Hoppy Hopscotch, Bobby BearHug, and DogDay as the starting characters. CraftyCorn, KickinChicken, Bubba Bubbaphant, and PickyPiggy unlock through progression; the post does not specify their unlock order.

Is CatNap playable?

CatNap is one of the eight Critters. A Bigger Body CatNap also appears as a threat. See the CatNap page.
